Jason Beans is driven by the goal to positively impact every American by transforming healthcare. As CEO and founder of Rising, he has built a powerful framework to increase the cost effectiveness and quality of medical care.

With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Jason has been featured as a medical cost containment and efficiency expert in various media outlets, including: The Wall Street Journal, CNN, NPR, Chicago Tribune, LA Times, Forbes, Fortune, Risk Management Magazine, Business Insurance, TechDecisions for Insurance, Insurance & Technology, AMBestWeek, and Managed Care Magazine. Additionally, he publishes a column in Risk & Insurance and a blog that offers thoughts on corporate culture, building a business, and medical cost containment.

Before founding Rising, Jason served in multiple executive positions within the medical cost containment field. He was the National Director of Property and Casualty Operations at Concentra, held several management positions with CRA Managed Care (eventually Concentra) and was a founding principal of BND Operations Company, a medical management consultancy. Jason is also a longstanding contributor and consultant for the Rhode Island Workers’ Compensation Medical Fee Schedule rules, which Rising still updates and publishes today.

Jason graduated from the MIT/EO Entrepreneurial Master’s Program and holds a degree in Finance from Boston College. His expertise also helps steer several Boards of Directors in the insurance and managed care industries. Jason is an inductee into the Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame.
