Rising CEO Named to Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame

Jason Beans’ Entrepreneurial Leadership Inspires Healthcare Change

September 29, 2015 – Chicago, IL – Founder and CEO of Rising Medical Solutions (Rising), Jason Beans, has been named as one of the 2015 inductees into the Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame hosted by the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies.

Jason Beans is the founder and CEO of Rising Medical Solutions, one of the nation’s fastest growing private companies. He founded Rising in 1999 with the goal of improving one of America’s most challenged systems – healthcare. His company accomplishes that mission by removing billions of dollars in excessive costs, duplicate billings, inappropriate charges, and fraud from the healthcare system; while also ensuring that patients receive faster and better care, and medical providers receive fair and timely payments.

“The success of any entrepreneur is based not only on the strength of their own vision, but also on those who help to bring that vision to reality,” says Beans. “I’m fortunate to have the support of incredibly dedicated employees, loyal customers, as well as many in the Chicago entrepreneurial community who’ve become mentors and friends. They’ve all helped Rising’s vision come alive and prosper these past 15 years.”

Now in its 30th year, the Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame (EHOF) is lauded as the oldest and most prestigious Chicagoland entrepreneurship award, and has inducted nearly 500 entrepreneurs since its inception in 1985. The EHOF recognizes members who, through the businesses they have built and through their personal engagement, have had an enduring commercial and social impact, fostered a diversified economic engine, and enhanced their communities. Members include the founders of AON Corporation, CDW Computer Centers, Crate & Barrel, Encyclopaedia Britannica, Goose Island Breweries, Helene Curtis Industries, Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, McDonald’s Corporation, Motorola, and National Van Lines.

“These men and women exemplify courageous, tenacious, and dedicated entrepreneurial leadership and fortitude. They have followed Peter Drucker’s adage, ‘The best way to predict the future is to create it,”’ said Nancy Harvey, executive director of the UIC Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies.

All nominations were evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges, and finalists were personally interviewed by the judges and existing members of the Chicago Area EHOF. The 20 selected 2015 inductees will be honored at a reception on October 8th at the Chicago Field Museum.
