>> Medicare Set Aside (MSA) Allocation Cost Projections

RISING has partnered with top organizations to provide comprehensive MSA Allocation services. These organizations are well-versed in determining medical cost projections and in presenting a justifiable position to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). When appropriate, our partners also work with RISING to arrange for the Professional Administration or Self-Administration Support of a claimant's MSA funds. >> Medical Cost Projections

When future medical treatment costs need to be considered for setting reserves or for settlement support, RISING can provide a projection of future injury/illness-related medical costs at the appropriate state Workers' Compensation rates.

>> Life Care Planning

For a more comprehensive approach to determining future medical treatment and costs, RISING’s Life Care Planning (LCP) services can help determine an individual’s long-term needs. A life care plan is often necessary when settling claims for individuals who have experienced catastrophic injuries** or who have chronic illnesses**. In such cases, our Certified Life Care Planners can provide a comprehensive assessment document outlining the individual’s lifelong medical and vocational needs, as well as associated cost recommendations. Our LCP nurses utilize a scientific methodology, published standards of practice, data analysis, supporting research and their own medical expertise to determine predictable outcomes in an objective, accurate and thorough manner.

**NOTE: For occupation-related injuries and illnesses that meet certain criteria, a Medicare Set Aside Allocation cost projection may also be necessary.

>> State of Rhode Island - Workers' Compensation Medical Fee Schedule

RISING staff have authored, updated, and published the Rhode Island Workers’ Compensation Medical Fee Schedule for the past 11 years. At any given time, Rhode Island's Fee Schedule will have the most up-to-date CPT codes of any state fee schedule in the country. The original promulgation of the Fee Schedule was a critical part of Rhode Island's economic revival. RISING was able to configure a Fee Schedule that not only met the needs of all parties, but also accounted for the State's budgetary and legal constraints. Such flexibility allowed for a successful and rapid implementation of the Fee Schedule.
